StartTime II

The StartTime II is our latest generation
acoustic start system.

The compact design of the unit houses the loudspeaker and the optical flash. The Startime II should be positioned where the athletes can see the flash. An additional external flash can be connected to the unit, and positioned where it is most required.

The speaker output allows a chain of loudspeakers to be connected, so as to deliver the start signal as close to each athlete as possible, so that they all hear the start simultaneously.

The microphone unit enables the starter to give the start signal and also amplifies the verbal commands. The relative volumes of the spoken command and the start signal are controlled by individual controls on the main unit. Two LED's on the microphone show the status of the device; one signals whether the unit is powered, the other shows whether a connected timing system is 'armed' ready to receive a start.

The 'Ready' signal affords a high level of security to the timing system operator. This can be controlled from the control room, to inform the starter when they are ready for a start.
