After Sales Service

Swiss Timing offers comprehensive after sales services to our customers in the UK, and beyond.

Our team of engineers share many years experience of working with sports timing systems and displays. Our technical workshops in Southampton are set up to test and repair many of our timing systems and their components, backed up by our larger facility in Switzerland when the need arises.

Our field engineers tour venues across the UK providing an invaluable service of preventative maintenance and on-site repairs. These scheduled visits can often be arranged to take place prior to important competition dates, giving our maintenance contract customers additional peace of mind on the big day.

Simon Huffer, the After Sales Manager at Swiss Timing in the UK said recently, "A maintenance contract protects our customers initial investment, significantly increasing the life and reliability of their systems ".

Swiss Timing maintenance contracts are specifically designed to meet each venue's needs, based on the range of equipment held and the average system usage.

Each contract entitles a customer to a predetermined number of routine service visits per year, in which all aspects of the system are thoroughly checked and a report issued. The contract also entitles the customer to a number of unscheduled call-out visits per year to rectify specific problems that may arise between visits.

Also included in the Contract will be some time allocated to advise the customer on operator information and preventative maintenance.

Benefits of such a maintenance contract can include:

  • Guaranteed availability of spare parts
  • Substantial discounts on spare parts
  • Preventative maintenance to extend product life
  • Free access to our extensive stock of loan equipment, should your equipment fail
  • Free of charge software updates for appropriate products (ARES21, etc.)
  • Preferential labour rates (those included within actual contract are as much as 50% less than standard rates)
  • Optional weekend telephone helpline.

One off visits can also be booked in most circumstances if something should go wrong, but we strongly recommend taking action before disaster strikes!
